DALER - A robot that can fly and walk on land

Robotics segment is being replenished with new and new models that facilitate human life. So, as a result of long and laborious work group of Swiss scientists from the Laboratory of Intelligent Systems at the Polytechnic of Lausanne Federal Institute managed to create DALER (Deployable Air-Land Exploration Robot) - a robot that can not only move on the ground, but fly like a bat. DALER has wings which are activated by means of the folding mechanism and which can also be used as "foot".

DALER will come covered in a kind of malleable fabric so that its wings can fold up as it moves around on the ground. Not only that, it has a decent flying speed of up to 40 mph, although it would not be much to outrun when it is on the ground at 1 mph.
