Asus Transformer Book Duet: Laptop Tablet with Dual Boot (Windows and Android)



ASUS Transformer Book Duet (TD300) is a device with a unique functionality that can work as a tablet or laptop running one of the two operating systems: Android 4.1 or Windows 8.1. Switching between operating systems is as simple as pressing a key on the keyboard or the virtual buttons on the tablet.



The Transformer Book Duet is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor with integrated  Intel HD Graphics, and 4 GB system memory DDR3L-1600,  its performance is much higher than that of the existing ARM processor.

Unlike other technologies switch between the two operating systems, implemented technology specialists ASUS Instant Switch does not use virtualization, so each OS has full access to all CPU resources. Needless switching is done almost instantly, while the previous state of the OS is stored, so the user can then resume it from the same place.



ASUS Transformer Book Duet has a 13.3-inch IPS Full HD (1920x1080 pixels) display, and its multi-touch interface exceeds the requirements of Windows 8.1 on a number of parameters, including sensitivity and response time. The built-in speakers with ASUS SonicMaster technology produces high quality sound.


Transformer Book Duet front offers HD-camera and integrated digital microphone, and to store user data are SSD (in the plate) and hard drive (in the keyboard dock). In addition, the memory can be expanded by installing a MicroSD card up to 64GB. The dock connectors are USB 3.0, USB 2.0, Ethernet and HDMI 1.4, and in the number of supported interfaces include wireless WI-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0 EDR.

The device boasts compactness: the size of the tablet is 342.7 x 216.3 x 12.9 mm and dock - 340.9 x 217.6 x 16 mm. The total weight of both components is only 1.9 kg.
